For more than a century the company Auguste Reymond has produced watches in Tramelan, a village located in the very heart of the Swiss watch industry.
The size of the company and the way of working - in the ateliers each watch is still assembled by hand - make them consider as artisans rather than industrial manufacturers.
Therefore each Auguste Reymond watch is a unique piece in its own, with its qualities and its imperfections. Because the perfect watch does not exist.
A mechanical watch is by no means a throw-away item. It will last a lifetime and your children or grand-children will be able to have it repaired in fifty or even a hundred years.
Whereas a quartz watch will be dead by the time its electronic components will no longer be available, which is already the case today for certain quartz movements that have been produced no longer than twenty years ago.
